The Legacy of Dr. Loretta Joseph: Founder of  The Ark of Safety Ministries

In 1987, Dr. Loretta Joseph embarked on a journey of purpose and compassion born from her own experiences with profound loss. After the passing of her beloved husband of 26 years, she found herself grappling with emotional anxiety and grief. This personal tragedy was compounded by the subsequent losses of her brother, mother, sister, and a grandchild. These life-altering events revealed to Dr. Joseph a deep need for an organization that could support individuals struggling to cope with the emotional toll of loss and adversity.

Guided by faith and a determination to make a difference, Dr. Joseph established Ark of Safety Ministries (ASM). The ministry was founded with a mission to REACH OUT to those burdened by grief, emotional depression, and the challenges of personal calamity. From its inception, ASM has sought to offer more than condolences—it provides tools, guidance, and encouragement to help individuals rebuild their lives and find healing.

As the ministry grew, so did the challenges faced by its founder. While providing invaluable services through ASM and working a full-time job, Dr. Joseph suffered a heart attack. The extended recovery period led to the loss of her full-time employment. Despite these hardships, Dr. Joseph remained resolute in her commitment to ASM, using her personal experiences of resilience to inspire and empower others.

Her legacy of work ANCHORS aids to maintain our stability.
